We will still alter cats that test positive). Should we see live fleas at the time of surgery, your cat will be treated and you will be charged $20 for flea treatment at the time of pick up. If we see tapeworm at the time of surgery, your cat will be treated with an injection of praziquantel for an additional $10. We also offer the first distemper vaccine for $10. The booster must be done at your regular vet or another local clinic as we are not able to provide follow-up appointments. Your cat will receive pain medication at the time of surgery. You may purchase 3 additional days worth of pain medication for $15.

Before putting your pet under anesthesia, we recommend having pre-anesthetic blood work taken at your regular veterinary office 10-14 days prior to your scheduled surgery.

General Clinic Information

Our veterinary staff is highly trained with many years of experience and does everything in their power to ensure a successful surgery; however, because of the unknown history and fractious nature of stray/feral cats, we are unable to perform any physical exam prior to sedating the cat. Please assess the cat once trapped to determine illness, as it is unsafe to anesthetize an animal that is unhealthy. It is your responsibility to ensure your house cat is healthy prior to surgery. This should be verified by your regular veterinarian. We are unable to guarantee the outcome of any surgery.

Please note – this is exclusively a low-cost surgery clinic. We do not perform other wellness exams, nor do we offer follow-up visits. Cats must be healthy prior to surgery, which should be verified by your regular veterinarian. We have a vet in our clinic one day a week; should your cat need treatment for any reason after surgery, that must be done at your primary vet at your expense.

**Additional charges may apply if the cat is pregnant, in heat, a cryptorchid, or has an umbilical hernia. Should the cat need to receive an antibiotic injection due to illness or injury, you will be charged for these services at the time of pick-up.**
