Microchipping

We microchip for the public. Microchipping your pet is one of the best ways to ensure your pet is returned home safely and quickly if they wander off.

Microchips are small implants about the size of a grain of rice with a unique number that is registered through a database accessible by shelters and veterinary offices.

It is important to note that it is not GPS activated and can only be tracked to you when scanned with a microchip reader, so it is very important to keep your information up-to-date.

Microchips are $25.00 and are registered for life. Contact the shelter at 717-762-9091 ext. 4 or complete the request form to schedule an appointment.
