Owner Surrender
One of the most difficult decisions that pet owners sometimes have to make is to surrender their pet. When rehoming your pet, we encourage you to exhaust all possible options and make the shelter your last possible resort.
Ask around to family and friends to see if they are able to help.
We also recommend Rehome, a service through adoptapet.com. This is staffed by experts through the Petco Foundation to help you find reliable, loving homes for your pet. More information and FAQs about Rehome can be found here and here
If all else fails, we will do our best to help. Our ability to accept is dependent primarily, but not exclusively, on kennel space.
Owner surrenders are done by appointment only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm; we do not accept walk-ins for surrendering a pet, nor do we accept owner surrenders on weekends.
