Happy Foster Friday! 🐾
This sweet girl came to the shelter as a stray. We immediately noticed she was pregnant! Momma ended up having her puppies the very next day. After making sure everyone was healthy and safe to be moved, we were able to get them all into a foster home.
This momma wasn’t very happy in the shelter, and we can’t blame her for that. Momma’s raising puppies in the shelter is never ideal due to them being in a stressful environment and around illnesses.
When we get pregnant animals, the first thing we try to do is look through our approved fosters and get them out of the shelter. If you would be interested in fostering mom and pups, pups, or expecting mommas, please fill out an application.
We appreciate our foster family so much!💜
Fostering moms and pups entails bringing them into the shelter for routine vaccines, checkups, spay/neuter, any sick visits if needed, and lastly, receiving lots of love from your fosters who are grateful to be in a home. 🥰 antietamhumanesociety.org/foster-dogs-puppies/
** We are still in need of puppy kibble. **
** This momma and pups will not be available for adoption for a period of time. So please hold off on any phone calls, applications, and inquiries. **
