Ready for a new cat?

There are several things to consider when adopting a cat. One should consider individual needs, activity level, etc. of a cat to be sure it is the right fit for your family. You should also consider your own schedule, activity level, lifestyle, and finances before bringing a cat into your home. We have several trained and knowledgeable staff waiting to assist you in the decision making process.

See below for additional information regarding our adoption process and policies. You must be 18 or over to adopt with a valid form of photo ID showing your current address.

What's Included?

Fees (sales tax included in price listed):

Kittens 6 months and younger – $79.50
Cats 7 months and older – By Monetary Donation

Our adoption fees include having the feline pet spayed/neutered, registered microchipping, and age appropriate vaccinations. We also include a complimentary “well” exam for current, active clients with a participating veterinarian in our service area.

When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.

What's next?

Once you know you are ready to adopt, you can begin to look around. The first step in our adoption process is to fill out our Adoption Application online or at the shelter. Application processing time can vary, but many of our cats are able to leave with an adopter same-day (so be sure to bring a cat carrier with you). We ask for your patience and understanding during this time, as our number one priority is to find the right placement for our animals.

Once your application has been approved, you can then choose which cat you’d like to make part of your family. You will be able to take that animal home for a 2 week trial period to afford the animal time to decompress from shelter life and allow their true personalities to come out. You’ll get to know them, they’ll get to know you, and you can determine if they are the right pet for you. If they are, great! No need to do anything else.  If, for whatever reason, they are not the right pet, bring them back during the trial period, and we will find them another home.

Please keep in mind that shelter spacing is limited, therefore we cannot hold any animal while your application is being processed or while you make a decision. Adoptions are processed on a first-come, first-serve, best-fit basis, and we reserve the right to deny any application for any reason.

Again, be sure to bring a cat carrier with you. Keep in mind, cats can live to be 20+ years, so you will need one at some point in the cats life.
