Volunteer

Don’t have money to donate? Have extra time on your hands
or just recently retired? Why not donate your time to helping
our four-legged friends at the shelter? We rely heavily on our volunteers for socialization of our animals, cleaning, feeding/watering, walking our dogs, and helping with events, both onsite and offsite. If any of this sounds interesting to you, complete one of the packets below and turn it into the shelter for review. Do keep in mind, that all volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while volunteering at the shelter. Once approved, an orientation is necessary before being allowed to start. During this time, we will give you a tour of the facility, go over the do’s and don’ts of volunteering, review safety guidelines, and answer any questions that you may have.

Donations

Material donations are just as important as monetary ones.  Most of these items go directly to the animals in an effort to provide them with clean, comfortable, and safe environments.
You can host a collection drive through your school, church, or place
of business. Ask for animal donations in lieu of birthday presents.  Look for specials at local businesses, yard sales, or the bottom of your linen closets. We accept new and used items in decent condition.
The animals do not care that their blanket has a small hole in it or that their toy is not brand new.  They are just thankful to have those items.  Please keep in mind that we are not able to accept mattresses or pillows, as these items can pose a choking risk to our animals.
